Technology at NCS
Northwest Christian School supports a technology-rich learning environment, incorporating Canvas LMS and numerous digital programs, in-class and at home with iPads and computers utilized by students and teachers. NCS owns over 1700 iPads for use by K-12 students, athletics, after school clubs, special events, campus security, and faculty and staff.

1:1 Tech Initiative (Secondary)
Every middle school and high school student is provided with an iPad at the beginning of the school year. NCS owns over 1700 iPads. Over 930 of these are deployed to secondary students. Students use iPads to help enhance their educational experience. -
Apple TVs
Apple TVs are installed in all classrooms, Preschool - 12th grade. Apple TVs allow the content of any iPad to be displayed on the classroom projector. -

Digital Instructional Resources
Clever is a learning applications platform that provides easy access to nearly all programs utilized by elementary students and a few programs for secondary students. One convenient username and password provides direct access to a suite of tools, immediately available based on a student’s classes. Additionally, secondary students access some textbooks and other tools through their school email and Canvas accounts. -
Learning Management System
Canvas, by Instructure, enables students and families to have convenient access to instructional materials. Observer accounts allow parents to view resources and announcements, as well as assignments and feedback for secondary students. -
Library Resources
Follett’s Destiny Library Management System for access to hundreds of books in the school library. OverDrive and Tumblebooks provide additional, age-appropriate access to ebooks. -
Managed Accounts
By implementing managed accounts through Google, Apple, and Clever, administrators can curate the websites and tools accessible to students and streamline access with a single username and password. -

Student Information System
The Blackbaud software for students and parents allows for real-time access to grades, attendance, discipline, schedules, and more. The system also provides access to data on the go with mobile access through any browser.
