The Chris Wisely Scholarship Fund

The Chris Wisely Scholarship Fund

Chris Wisely was the consummate Northwest Christian Crusader.  Chris was part of the very first graduating class of Northwest Christian School in 1986, part of the school's first state championship football team, and he married his high school sweetheart.  After working in both business and ministry, Chris returned to Northwest Christian School with his own children and served on the Northwest Christian School Board for close to a decade.  Chris finished his earthly race and was welcomed home by his Savior in November 2021.

"Chris was one of the first School Board applicants to come into service once I joined the Crusader community," explains school superintendent Geoff Brown.  "I'll never forget his interview in front of the school board.  He opened the conversation by explaining two things to the board.  First, he wanted the board to know that if you spent much time with him, it wouldn't take long to understand exactly where Chris stood on an issue.  Second, he wanted the board to know that he was deeply, deeply in love with Jesus and his family.  In my years of service alongside Chris, I can confidently assert that both these statements were resoundingly true."

Amidst his many ministry pursuits, Chris Wisely operated a non-profit organization that provided no-cost/low-cost vehicles to struggling families and single parents.  "Chris had a heart for families that were struggling," explains Geoff.  "This was a constant area of attention for him.  Whether he identified those families within the school, his church, or the community at large, Chris found a way to make certain that needs were met within these hurting families."

As part of the legacy of Chris Wisely, Northwest Christian School is pleased to partner with the Wisely family in order to establish the Wisely Scholarship Fund.  Donations to this fund will be directed towards single parents and needy families that are struggling with their tuition obligations through the school and will serve to remember the consummate Northwest Christian Crusader.
